Hold My Hand
Some of you might be aware I spend as much time as I can with Hootie and the Blowfish. My great friend Jim Soni Sonefeld who is the band's drummer, has donated a song that appeared on the bands first album which sold over 14 million copies.
Hootie has supported our tennis programme over the years by donating prizes.
The song has recently been recorded by a young, award winning Gospel Choir who are aiming to raise money for charities in S Carolina.
I am proud to include a link to the video on our site. Please check it out.
As we begin the 10th Year of activity at Greenfield Tennis I would like to remind you of the fantastic range of opportunities offered to players of all ages and abilities on a weekly basis, all year round. They include:
Mini Tennis Coaching
Junior Squad Coaching for players improving at all standards
Junior Club Night
Junior Competitions
Adult Club Night
Team matches in local league, friendly matches and Club Ladder Competition.
Adult Squad and Private Coaching available
Pay to Play Tennis for the casual players
There are opportunities for the family to play together and bring friends to the facility.
Young players are encouraged to become Tennis Leaders and are guided towards LTA Certification of Level 1 and 2 Awards.
All players are welcome in a safe and friendly environment by suitably Qualified Coaches, Leaders and experienced Sports Assistants. Toilets and changing facilities are available.
The facility has recently been repainted and additional drainage has been completed.
The Club has established links with local schools, Durham County Council and the LTA.

Only current members will receive member’s benefits. All contributions are vital to allow The Club to sustain its programme of activity.
Weekend Tennis
It is possible that the courts can be accessed on Saturdays and Sundays from now on.
Access varies depending on Sports Assistants being on the site.

Guests must pay a visitor fee of £4. Fee to be paid to Sports Assistant before play commences.
Smart tennis clothing must be worn, no football shirts or heavy soled trainers allowed.
Chewing gum is a major nuisance as it causes major damage to the surface.
All litter should be removed from the courts.
Mondays and Wednesdays are for Adults, although Junior Members can be invited to attend.
Juniors must leave the courts on Mondays and Wednesdays if Adult Members are waiting to play.
Be proud of the excellent facility and opportunities available.
